About
Although visual communication has been more popular with the advent of the Internet, conversing via visualisation is not new. Humans began writing via cave paintings and symbols. We are built to comprehend and learn better via visual methods. Research tells us that visual communication leads to better retention of the information.
In the context of biomedical science and healthcare, visualization is becoming increasingly essential to make sense of the huge amount of data produced and to effectively share findings with the wider scientific community.
The goal of this training is to share knowledge on how to use effective visuals to communicate research findings in different contexts and to learn how to use online tools to prepare professional figures for graphical abstracts, posters and presentations.
