Introduzione

This training will give you the necessary understanding as well as tools and techniques for the managing profession. Whether you must organize yourself, your team or superiors within an organization, good management is not a miracle but the result of disciplined implementation of specific principles, values and techniques.

This training is designed for juniors and mid-level professionals committed to increase their understanding of management principles and tools and their management skills.

Goal of the training is to give participants an understanding of how professional management can work in Industry. Participants are invited to analyze their own management style, work on best practice examples and discuss their team maturity and how to adapt management of their team.

  • Elements of management: duties, tools, principles, responsibility.
  • Challenges for today’s manager. Whom shall I manage?
  • Group discussion: What are a manager’s duties & skills?

2. Overcoming fears – Principles of effective management

  • Result orientation and contribution to company goals
  • Culture of trust and positive thinking
  • Focus on essentials
  • Group discussion: is it urgent and important – Matrix.

3. Duties of the manager

  • Define Goals – SMART.
  • Organize. What is a good organisation? Can you delegate?
  • Decision making and controlling
  • Developing people
  • Group exercise 1: Team maturity and adapted management.

  • The meeting: goals and what is a good meeting?
  • Reporting. What is a good report.
  • Job assignment
  • Personal method of work and budgeting
  • Controlling and systematic waste discard
  • Group exercice 2: Analyse your personal management style
  • Group exercise 3: Some examples how to measure results

2. Reading the room and finding consensus – Company culture

  • What is culture and how can it contribute to better working
  • Stages to implement culture: Mission statement, Core Values, Department values and expected behaviors
  • How to implement.
  • Group brainstorming: Define three core values and associated behaviour for your company or department.

Take away and Conclusion

Managers from different departments or staff that will develop into management positions.

The training included lectures and interactive sessions. It consists of examples and explanations of principles and tools for management and leaves sufficient room for practical example, discussions and take aways.

Mr. Arkan Zwick is the Corporate Regulatory Affairs Director of CROMA Pharma, Austria. CROMA is a private global pharmaceutical and surgical company with products in ophthalmology, orthopedic and aesthetic dermatology. With more than sixteen years of regulatory professional experience Arkan´s role includes regulatory advocacy for drug, medical device, combi products and cosmetic compliance projects as well as in house legal advice for contract management, merger and acquisition, and intellectual property projects. He is responsible for the company’s regulatory compliance in the EU working with several notified bodies and for global market authorizations in the Americas and Asia-Pacific.Arkan has a master’s degree in Law from the University of Vienna and a PhD in European Law. His expertise includes in house legal and regulatory consulting as well as lecturing at the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna and scientific board member and speaker on life cycle conferences and trainings. He is fluent in English, German and French.
