PPCD – Patient Partnering in Clinical Development

The Patient Partnering in Clinical Development (PPCD) is an international event with the aim of exploring patient engagement in Clinical Research. Patient empowerment in any phase of Clinical Research and on regulatory agency’s decisions are discussed at PPCD events.

In the last years, patients have been included as valued partners in clinical trials serving on governance committees and project teams. The Patient Partnering in Clinical Development (PPCD) is a yearly event addressed to any figure involved in any aspect of clinical research with a deep interest in patient engagement and patient empowerment in all phases of Clinical Research, belonging to

  • Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device companies
  • CROs
  • Universities/Hospitals
  • Academic Research
  • Patient Associations
  • Regulatory authorities
  • Health outcome specialists
  • Healthcare Organizations.

Patient engagement in clinical trials and increasing patient empowerment are the main topics of PPCD. They are discussed by leading experts that are carefully selected by the scientific board. The Scientific Board selects the topics to be covered, the speakers and the moderators.

  • Regulatory aspects and compliance

During PPCD all the arguments are presented and discussed depicting real experiences and successful stories.

The PPCD is organised and managed by LS Academy according to the code of good conduct, to ensure the higher scientific quality of contents. All participants (attendees, speakers, moderators) are asked not to promote any product or service. Only sponsors can promote their commercial activities and products in one-to-one and/or at booth meetings. 

Furthermore, at the end of the PPCD, all participants are asked to provide their feedback through ad-hoc questionnaires. The answers are carefully revised and analysed by LS Academy, together with speakers, moderators, and sponsors, to ensure the satisfaction of those that will attend future PPCDs.

Trainings
The fee includes: tuition, teaching materials, lunches and coffee breaks, organizational office assistance, attendance certificate. Early Bird discount not applicable to Freelance – Academy – Public Administration fee.
The course will proceed with a minimum of 8 participants. Should this number not be reached the registered participants will be notified one week prior to the commencement of the course.

Terms of payment

Confirmation of event admission will be given on receipt of payment. Invoice will be sent following receipt of payment. EasyB reserves the right to refuse late registrations or additional registrations above the maximum accepted number of participants or registrations of roles that are not included in the target of the event.

Cancellation
Please note that refunds (50% refund of the registration fee) will only be given if cancellation is received at least four weeks before the event date. Cancellations will only be valid if made in writing. Transfer of registrations (or name changes) are allowed for free and should be made in writing within 7 days prior to the event. EasyB reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event, to change the location of an event or to alter the advertised speakers for an event, to change its performance from residential to webinar/online. EasyB is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of substitution, alteration, postponement or cancellation of an event due to causes beyond its control including without limitation, acts of God, natural disasters, sabotage, accident, trade of industrial disputes, terrorism, hostilities, epidemics, pandemics, and / or authorities’restrictions (so-called factum principis).
